A digital user experience guide

How can interactive design help
to build a better society?
What philosophy lies behind
a designer's creations? How to give
shape and value to own
projects?

Born in the United States, in New York, Julie Blitzer found in Milan the right inspiration to develop a creative and successful career path in design and technology. Julie, thanks to a unique interdisciplinary background in politics, economics and mathematics, was able to enhance her skills and interests, never asking herself what company she wanted to work for or what type of design to specialize in, but relentlessly continuing to "make, create and try." First at a tech consulting firm, then at two startups and a design studio, until she landed at Bain & Company, where she explains to companies how to fully understand their costumers' needs. Aware that the designers of the future must always be open to change, ready to continuously renew tools and methodologies.

At illimitHER, Julie will talk about how she stepped out of her comfort zone to find the path most in line with her passions and personal characteristics. She will explain where she has found the strength and courage to dare, make mistakes and start over, becoming more and more aware of her own strengths and weaknesses. We will understand how not to fall victim to the impostor syndrome, because there is no greater regret than not having given yourself the opportunity to realize your dream, however (apparently) unattainable.

Quotes

Design is often considered a form of art, when it is rather creativity within constraints of each project and its context. Design uses different methodologies, mindsets and modalities to understand how to improve the lives of others, while at the same time, obtaining results for business.
