Covid 19 Context

Following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in Italy, we have put in place a number of initiatives to protect the health of all illimiters and those who work with us, as well as engagement activities and guidelines to help everyone to live as well as possible at such a hard time.

We donated 270 thousand euros, of which more than 18 thousand thanks to the generous contributions from employees, to purchase medical and health equipment to various hospitals.

In addition, we have:

- set up a Covid-19 Managerial Committee in which the management could share updates and take prompt decisions on the company’s response to the emergency;

- organized monthly corporate Staff Meetings to share company results as well as thoughts and feelings of people;

- adopted smart working as a standard way of working and, for those who needed to go into the office, a track and trace process was activated;

- organized shifts of Covid-19 tests, with expenses covered by the company;

- positioned a heat scanner at the entrance to measure people’s temperatures;

- activated a specific Covid-19 insurance;

- given the possibility to stay close to kids and elder family members who could not look after themselves by using two hours of paid leave a day;

- expanded the e-learning offering by launching online courses and webinars on specific issues such as resilience, parenthood, health & wellbeing, and work-life balance;

- promoted engagement and internal communication projects, including the “Good News” newsletter to encourage communication among colleagues and “decrease distances”;

- provided all employees, already equipped with laptops, also with headphones, mouse, power supplies, keyboards and second monitors.



For the Direct Banking customers we have extended health services to include remote healthcare, remote diagnostics and remote tests, in addition to activating dedicated communication initiatives through emails and social media, informing them about the various digital functions of accounts.

We have supported customer businesses to overcome the moment of crisis both with the government tools offered (secured loans and legal moratoria) and by reshaping fundings.
