Our commitment

Sustainability is built into every aspect of illimity’s activities and is an essential component of our identity. We want to drive value with purpose, by creating a lasting and sustainable benefit for all our stakeholders. Through our activities we support high-potential SMEs with their growth projects or recovery plans, fostering the sustainable and digital transition of the Italian businesses.

The new 2023-2025 Sustainability Plan, approved by the Board of Directors in February 2023, defines significant and ambitious targets that integrate with the various aspects of the Bank’s business and meet the requests from the various stakeholders, on the one hand, and comply with regulatory expectations regarding sustainable finance and the governance of climate and environmental risk, on the other.

The environmental targets focus on the urgent issue of transitioning to a net-zero economy, in which illimity plays, and will play, a key role in supporting and assisting the financed businesses in that process.

2021-2025 Strategic Plan

  • Maintain the Group’s carbon neutrality (Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions); the measurement and addressing of the so-called “financed emissions” (Scope 3).
